Growing up, you would think I would learn from my past mistakes and or not follow in the footsteps of others. I seem to only learn the hard way. Despite all that, I am not a product of my environment which I am extremely happy about. Although I have moments when I do not think things currently through, I am not in a bad place at all. I may not be where I want to be in life but I am where I need to be. Growing up I am proud that I didn’t play into the saying “you’re a product of your environment” if that were the case, I’d be living paycheck to paycheck, not using my time and resources wisely and most importantly, living very selfishly.
